A Journey Through Time: Exploring Charles Umlauf's Home and Studio

Our reception and private tour at the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum provided our members with a rare glimpse into the residence and studio of the acclaimed sculptor, Charles Umlauf. The exceptional evening extended beyond the public gardens, which showcase 168 sculptures generously donated by Charles and Angie Umlauf to the City of Austin, and into Charles Umlauf's private home — an area typically closed off to the public. By hosting a private reception at the public garden and museum, and then continuing the evening to Charles Umlauf's private residence, we offered members a truly unique experience, deepening their exposure to the broader cultural significance of Austin's gem, the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum.
